Marcus Magee

We gather to celebrate and remember the life of Marcus Dewayne "Doodie" Magee, born on October 13th, 1981, in the vibrant city of New Orleans, LA. Marcus was a man whose laughter was contagious, whose love was boundless, and whose compassion was as vast as the sky. As the beloved Maya Angelou once said, "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Marcus embodied this sentiment, leaving a lasting impact on everyone he encountered.

Marcus brought joy to every room he entered. His love for playing bingo wasn't just about the game; it was about the people he shared it with, the laughter that filled the room, and the connections he made. Through his work in food service, Marcus extended his passion for connecting with others. Always greeting customers with a warm smile, Marcus made others feel cherished and seen. His love for his work was only rivaled by his devotion to his family, most especially his adored nieces and nephews. In his eyes, they could do no wrong, and he cherished every moment he spent with them.

Marcus is survived by his loving mother, Annie Magee; his sister, Lisa Armstrong; his brother Daniel Armstrong Jr; his precious nephews and niece, Rayfus, Raytrell, Devonta, and Deshonta Armstrong; beloved great-nephew and great-nieces; devoted friend Prince; and his cherished grandmother, Emma Armstrong. He joins in Heaven his dear relatives, Alma Magee, Daniel Armstrong, and L.C. Magee.

Marcus, with his funny, loving, and compassionate nature, will be deeply missed. His memory will continue to inspire and encourage us, reminding us of the importance of love, laughter, and family. As we mourn his passing, let us also celebrate his life, cherishing each moment we shared with him.
